CHARLOTTE: It's impossible to remember my first beach memory because I feel like I've always been there! But it has to be in Biarritz, on Milady beach when it was still very wild and there was only “us”, that is to say the family and all our beach buddies! I was probably butt naked. We were only put on sunscreen for the first three days. In the evening, it was barbecued sardines. From a certain age we were finally allowed to jump from the rock!
- KALDO: Your favorite beach and why?
CHARLOTTE: Difficult to choose! But it’s definitely sunny, and the sand is warm! If I can name several: Milady or Ilbarritz (our base camp!); the island of Benguerra in Mozambique or the island of Pemba in Tanzania for its “wow” and “alone in the world” side; Ipanema for its atmosphere: Brazilians on the beach, it's a real spectacle; and the latest: a big crush on Grand Anse beach on La Digue in the Seychelles.

CHARLOTTE: In addition to the KALDO that accompanies me everywhere: factor 50 sunscreen, sunglasses, a good book... And obviously, if it's in Biarritz: a tarot deck!

CHARLOTTE: Our trip to Cuba in March 2017. You were working there, and I decided to join you on a whim. We had a weekend to enjoy. Coming out of winter, we just wanted to go to the beach. After a few hours of driving, we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night. We wake up early to make the most of it and then: the deluge! It's raining, the wind is blowing violently, the sea is raging. Even the Cubans are surprised. Those who know us know how much our mood depends on the color of the sky. And there he was black, black, black! In these moments, there is not one to catch up with the other. We finally managed to smile and take a few photos during a brief clearing…
